I really think that the Make A New Friend or whatever the section of the zone was called should be reintroduced as that worked quite well as a recommender of people who you would probably get along with.

All it did was tell you who else the people you talked to the most were also talking to. I tried saying hi to a couple people on my recommended list and never got a response. And no one ever said hi to me as far as I know just because I was on their recommended friends list. Actually it was a good way of checking up on who else someone flirting with me was flirting with.

The trouble we were having with it was that it was slowing the site down a lot. That's why it was removed because some users were using it to crash the site by repeatedly refreshing the page before it had loaded properly. The site couldn't keep up so it was taken down to prevent that sort of thing happening again.

That's also the reason why I don't think it'll be making a return, but you never know.

Yeah, Dan pretty much said it. If "Make a friend" ever comes back, it'll undergo a complete overhaul first. At least, I think that's what Chris was hinting once when I asked him.
